Print and Matt Sizes - Your Options

Both Redbubble, and Photo4Me, state sizes on the options when you purchase, so I will not cover their products here. However, I feel it may be useful to explain the STUDIO PRODUCED print sizes and formats which I sell direct.

STANDARD SIZES

Image sizes below are my preferred production

Cards, 7"x5", 10"x8", A5
PLUS, A4, A3, A3+, A2
.

Please be aware that some cropping of images as seen in the galleries may occur due to the different camera formats used over the years, but it will be minimal. Refunds will be offered if disatisfied with the end product

Sampler Print

 This is a basic sampler print, on paper which measures 178mm x 127mm, but is printed on high quality paper in case this is sufficient for your needs. Usually, these are borderless, but certain prints will be sized to best fit and left untrimmed. I will add a suitable card and envelope as part of the deal if you wish to convert the image to either a card or a simple mounted print for framing (cut your own aperture!). If returned to me in good condition, I will knock £5 of a larger version of the same print should you later choose to buy in matted or framed form. (ONLY 1 per updated purchase)

A4

 This is my stock print size at 297mm x 210mm. Usually borderless prints. Can be supplied as prints, matted or framed to fit A3 frames - Open Editions only

A3

 Twice the size of an A4 print at 420mm x 297mm (16.5" x 11.7") - Usually borderless prints. Can be supplied as prints, matted to 20" x 16". Usually Open editions, but, occassionally, I may offer more exceptional images as Limited Editions of up to 10 prints in this size. - Check for availability

A2

 Twice the size of an A3 print (equivalent of 4 times the size of an A4 print) at 592mm x 420mm (23.4" x 16.5"). These prints are only supplied as LIMITED EDITION plain borderless prints, without mount or frame. They will be supplied as rolls for you to matt and frame how you wish. This is currently the maximum size I can print "in-house".

Square

 An A4 sized Square print, is 210mm x 210mm approx, with A3 at 297mm x 297mm and A2 at 420mm x 420mm approx. These are usually use specialist papers

Panoramics

 An A4 sized Panoramic print, is 297mm long approx, with A3 420mm and A2 at 592mm approx. Heights vary depending on the format of the image. These usually use specialist papers

Other Non-Standard Sizes supplied Direct

Non-Standard size code options may appear in the gallery pages if further options are available, but should be obvious:

CARDS
& 6 x 4

 Cards and 6 x 4 prints are my entry level product. For cards, I usually paste a borderless image which measures 178mm x 127mm to the front of a folded card which is 210mm x 147mm when folded. I use thinner papers as the they are supported by the card on which they are mounted. Very occassionally, a smaller (6 x 4) print is used on a smaller card, but this is the exception rather than the rule. Cards are only supplied in multiples of 6, whilst 6"x4" prints only in multiples of 12

A5

 Half the size of an A4 - 210mm x 148mm approx. Usually borderless prints. Can be supplied as prints, matted or framed - Open Editions only

10 x 8

 Again, a basic sampler print. I only supply this size very rarely, and always mounted in a frame. They are not available in any other form from me. These are not printed "in house", delivery delays are possible.

12 x 8

 Again, a basic sampler print. I only supply this size very rarely, and always either in an A3 matt form, or in an A3 frame. They are not available in any other form from me. These are not printed "in house", and make my images subject to cropping. This can be a problem with some images. Please discuss this with me before you choose this option.

A3+

 These prints are only supplied as LIMITED EDITION plain borderless prints, at 483mm x 329mm (19" x 13") without mount or frame. They are marginally bigger than A3, and usually use specialist papers

A1

 Twice the size of an A2 print (equivalent of 8 times the size of an A4 print). These prints are only supplied to special order as UNIQUE editions, as plain borderless prints, without mount or frame unless specifically requested. They will be supplied as rolls for you to matt and frame how you wish. Printed by a Third party printer under direct supervision for superior quality and colour control.

A0

 Twice the size of an A1 print (equivalent of 16 times the size of an A4 print). These prints are only supplied to special order as UNIQUE editions, as plain borderless prints, without mount or frame unless specifically requested. They will be supplied as rolls for you to matt and frame how you wish. Printed by a Third party printer under direct supervision for superior quality and colour control.

Oversize 1

 Twice the size of an A0 print (equivalent of 32 times the size of an A4 print). These prints are only supplied to special order as UNIQUE editions, as plain borderless prints, and without mount or frame. They will be supplied as rolls for you to matt and frame how you wish. Printed by a Third party printer under direct supervision for superior quality and colour control. Sadly, this size is rarely available without going to considerable expense.

SQ

 SQ refers to a SQUARE print. Since size varies considerably with each image, sizes will normally be stated next to the image in the gallery. They will be supplied rolled for large items, or flat for sub-A4 for you to matt and frame how you wish. Larger (400mm+) SQUARE prints are not printed "in house", so quality cannot be guaranteed

PAN

 PAN refers to a Panoramic print. Usually, these are long widthways, but not very tall. Where such images are offered, they will be as LIMITED or UNIQUE editions only. Since size varies considerably with each image, sizes will be stated next to the image in the gallery. They will be supplied as rolls for you to matt and frame how you wish. Dependant on size, longer versions (over 580mm) are not printed "in house", so quality cannot be guaranteed
